DaKu is about being young and restless…Bold and beautiful.
A clothing line for people who certain people would generally consider “crazy”, “misfits, ” rebels” or anything – since they will not bow down to oppression & they tremble indignation whenever they see injustice in society. They definitely do not conform to the norms that would jeopardize Liberation.
You can disagree with them, you can quote them, you can glorify them or you can become a part of them.
Daku believes in the fact that what is wrong can never be right just because the authority says so. Rules / Laws that endorse oppression will be broken, whether you like it or not…We believe in the empowerment of women.
The label ‘DaKu’ is all about danger, revolt, fearlessness and freedom. ‘DaKu’ is about freedom to wear what you want, bold & daring enough to make others gasp, and only worn by people who are fearless enough not to give a damn about what others think. We are not slaves of the fashion norms. We do what we think is right!
Yes we are crazy enough to do that, & if not do it, then say it loud! Daku T-shirts are all about that… & we are out there to make a difference, be it fashion, politics or social.
But as the saying goes, it is the only those who are crazy enough to think, are the ones who bring a change…you may see crazy, but we see genius. One thing you can’t do is ignore, because it is the crazy one who pushes the human race forward & change things!
Stand up for democracy & Give power to the people! That’s the Daku Ideology.
DAKU’s first line of clothing is t-shirts…
T-shirts are the staple wear of the youth today. There are a lot of good t-shirts, but how many of them are daring enough to let the youth express themselves. Not a lot of t-shirts like that are available. The question we asked ourselves is why? We came up with a simple answer. Nobody makes good t-shirts and even if they do, they are too bland to wear, and do not actually have a purpose or a concept behind a certain design or maybe they do not have the balls to make t-shirts that are radical enough to make you think. So ‘DaKu’s’ first line of clothing is all about t-shirts that let everyone know that ‘DaKu’ has arrived on the scene. Almost every design of ours has a complete concept & a cause behind it. We have t-shirts that are socially responsible. That is why DAKU carries the tag lines:
“T-Shirts against Injustice” and “We can be Silent, NO MORE…”
Well, that makes the brand a some what of a left wing libertarian, & Yes, that is what we are. We are very politically charged & socially aware! Call us rebels if you want, but Daku is a rebel with a cause. We don’t conform to the unjust norms of the society, that divide people into classes. We believe in Justice for all, Peace, Democracy & a World without boundaries…
It is like someone said… “Why can’t we all live together?”
Apart from this, Daku also has a lighter side to life. It’s also about fun & games. Our comrades also need to chill out… by owning a Daku product, you become a Daku comrade. & our comrades need to chill out as well!!!… So ENJOY your T’s, but don’t forget that you’re also a responsible human being! Respect & earn your respect in return.

This is our women’s line. This DaKu line for the liberated female. It empowers the woman with the confidence and fearlessness that made Phoolan Devi a household name. Phoolan Devi was not a born bandit; it was the society’s injustice that made her a rebel & she stood for the poor & gave them their rights. Her actions maybe wrong, but her intentions were good. KARTOOZ
Next in line is “Kartooz”. A person needs accessories to put the finishing touches just like the outlaw needs ammunition to enforce his power. This DaKu line consists of Belts, Satchels, Caps, Bandannas, etc.
This has not been launched as yet.

We all know that Pakistan is going through tough times…& it is up to us to stand up against a this unconstitutional regime…
I’m proud of all the people who have stood up & sacrificed whatever they could for this country in these tough times of state sponsored terrorism!
Policemen baton charging women, arresting national hero’s , government killing the judiciary & placing puppet judges to make all their illegal acts legal..
Is that an “enlightened moderated” Pakistan?
but like we comrades say ” the struggle continues” it is our duty as Pakistani citizens to keep on struggling till we make Pakistan into a welfare state, where there is an independent judiciary, equal treatment for the rich & the poor, quality education for all, & most of all self esteem! We must make our economy a development based economy not an economy based only on national security…
We cannot be slaves to a system that is wrong & which is taking our country down!
Most of you might not like what i have said here, but then again DAKU has always been a brand about doing the right thing, saying the right thing & about liberation, peace & self esteem.. and has been quite vocal about it too…
There have been some of my interviews on TV regarding DAKU & my politically aware t-shirts, you never know when they might arrest me or start harassing me…GOD FORBID anything like that happens…
Anyway, I’ve uploaded pictures of some new designs that are available at the store…
Im making more t-shirts that are pro-revolution & also, some stuff that hopefully will make people think & do the right thing…
Remember, DAKU apart from being a business is also trying to be a social Conscience of this nation…& i have always wanted daku to be a brand that is also a service to the nation!
Remember, our forefathers sacrifices a lot to get us freedom, but think again, are we really free now? is this what our founder wanted for us? We have been hearing promises for the last sixty years, but all the rulers that have come, & we have seen all the promises being broken… for how long can this go on? THINK!
